World of Women and Artist Sara Baumann Challenge Status Quo with Trailblazing Portrait Series

World of Women (WoW) has commissioned artist Sara Baumann to launch a portrait series that champions women builders in Web3 at a time when diversity initiatives face increasing scrutiny. The NFT collection, minting on the Etherlink - Tezos blockchain L2, depicts four pioneering women leaders as Western frontier figures, highlighting their role in breaking new ground in decentralized technology.

"These portraits capture more than likeness – they tell the story of women who refuse to wait for permission to build the future," said Sara Baumann. "By reimagining tech leaders as frontier pioneers, we're making visible the courage it takes to create in spaces where you're often the only woman in the room."

The initial series features Jill Gunter (Espresso Systems), Winny.eth (Chipped), Evin McMullen (Privado ID), and Tina He (Base). In an industry where only 7% of founders are women and none have raised over $100 million, these leaders represent a new wave of builders creating their own paths to success.

"Launching this initiative is a clear statement that we won't back down from supporting women builders," said Taisia Antonova, WoW CEO. "This isn't just about art – it's about directing capital and opportunities to founders who've been systematically overlooked. When women represent only 15% of investment teams and raise four times less capital than men, we have to create new funding pathways."

The portraits can be collected for free on Etherlink, removing financial barriers to participation - a deliberate choice that reflects WoW's mission of economic inclusion and streamlines the user experience of onboarding which prevents crypto-curious women from coming onchain. The initiative builds on WoW's established ecosystem. While WoW has already deployed $3 million to nonprofits and supported 500+ artists, this portrait series expands their impact by celebrating the builders using these economic tools to shape the industry.

Minting opens February 25 on AFFC.club as a free open edition on Etherlink, with all transaction costs covered by WoW.
